Bio: Kathryn Stratton was born in Manchester England. Her father was from Northern Ireland and was the Professor of the Institute of Irish Studies in Belfast. He was the author of The Lagan Valley 1800-1850 - A Local History of the Industrial Revolution - E.R.R.Green. He met and married her American born mother in Columbia, S. Carolina in 1947. Kathryn moved to the United States in the late seventies and made her home in Northeast Georgia where she lives and works. She dedicated many years of her life to raising a family on a small farm. Her love for and strong connection to children and animals has contributed to her desire to write animal inspired children's stories. While raising her children she took great pleasure inventing stories to tell them about their family pets. Kathryn has many interests. She currently works for the Georgia Mountain Laurel Magazine and writes articles of local interest.
